Printed on transparent acrylic over photo rag bright white base
2023

In technical terms, the work consists of an image broken down into six layers, each printed on a transparent acrylic sheet. By superimposing these layers, the image begins to complement or decompose itself, constantly altering. All the layers are colored in shades of red, black, and green, which also serve as the base for each of them. As the layers move over these colors, each layer reveals or hides parts of the image, blending with the background and generating different visual effects. People have the ability to physically move each of these layers over the background colors with their hands to discover the different facets of the image themselves.

The work aims to reflect the various nuances behind a gaze and the wide range of emotions a person can experience from one moment to the next. It reveals the multitude of layers behind a person's expression and the complexity of the human mind. Additionally, it highlights how challenging it is to perceive the world from another's perspective, placing us in a position that can make us feel helpless when trying to understand others.
